Hypnotic Intentionality Three Ways to Use Your State as a Powerful Tool for Change
Join therapist and trainer Joe Kao for a free online event on 29th January at 6:30pm UK Time.
When it comes to effective coaching or therapy, the state of the practitioner is a huge factor, and something that's often overlooked.
This doesn't mean that you need to be amped up, supercharged and doing jumping jacks before you see every client.
But it does mean remembering that your tone of voice, your facial expression, your energy and manner are sending countless signals to the client about whether the work is going to be successful.
We've all seen examples of bad acting, whether in films, TV shows or in a theatre. When you see bad acting, it feels incongruent, like the person is saying the words but they don't know why they're saying them.
The same thing can happen with hypnosis and changework. Practitioners are sometimes encouraged to memorise hypnotic phrases, or to read out scripts to their clients, but the result can end up robotic and clunky, like a piece of bad theatre.
A technique may create profound changes for a client when presented with purpose, curiosity and energy. But when that same technique is presented in a fossilised, scripted way, it suddenly becomes harder for the client to engage with, and the technique is far less likely to be effective.
In this free presentation on Hypnotic Intentionality, we'll be exploring three ways you can cultivate states within yourself that actively support the process of change, so that you can bring more intentionality and "aliveness" into your client sessions.
Find out what you can learn from:
- Theatre practitioner Konstantin Stanislavski
- Hypnosis pioneer Dr Milton H. Erickson
- Apple founder Steve Jobs
about how to generate powerful, congruent states that deeply resonate with others. We hope to see you there!
Join us on January 29th at 6:30pm Uk time (we will run for approximately 45 mins with additional time for questions)
